certain components to external suppliers. Before
any supplier achieves a place on the approved
suppler list each one is vetted by the Quality
Assurance Manager to ensure their rigorous quality
standards are met.

BBF are Benfords approved supplier
for the electrical top boxes for their dumper
range, their place on the supplier list unmoved
for many years.
Benford have a rolling order and source between
two and three hundred items from BBF on an ongoing
basis. According to John Taylor, Buyer, 'Even
with this volume of product the number of rejects
is negligible. However it is their flexibility
and friendliness that keeps them at the top of
the preferred supplier list.' He adds 'The
close working relationship we have built up, their
understanding of our business and willingness
to work alongside us isn't something we can easily
replicated elsewhere.' |
